Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience started at the age of 14. She began training in kickboxing boxing BJJ and wrestling before completing her amateur debut at age 18 at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and then went on to a three-fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents within the first round in each fight. After that, she went to WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen initially defeated Silvia Babyghian prior to going to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen in the fight, beating her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's amateur records were damaged. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her record for amateurs to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in 2015 after signing to Invicta FC. InvictaFC 11 was her first professional fight. She was a rout of Ana Carolina Vidal, securing the 1st-round TKO. Invicta defeated her at bantamweight and was victorious via submission armbar during the second round. Aspen used the superior skills she had learned in wrestling to take on McGill. She ended the fight with a an KO (3rd round) (elbows as well as punches). Aspen was then able to fight Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 at a catchweight that was 138.1lb. Ladd was not capable of achieving the weight however Aspen took the victory and defeated Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC, 21 was her final promotion bout. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks won by unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut came on UFC Fight Night 118 when she took on Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina with her ground and pound tactics, resulting in an TKO 2nd round win. She continued her dominance and racked up an impressive victory in her next match against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd ended Evinger's bout after the first round. She also received the bonus for performance of night. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent for an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's debut major fight. Ladd was the winner of the night's main event fight bonus after both fighters fought an intense fight back and forth. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in just 16 seconds to end her streak of winning. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in UFC 7 ESPN 7's final round, was defeated by Randamie. For a replacement last minute for her UFC match, she faced Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. It was a loss by majority decision.
